First Journal...hehe

Journal Entry: Sat Apr 5, 2008, 2:38 AM
  • Mood: Bliss
  • Listening to: Led Zeppelin-Misty Mountain Hop
  • Reading: Jules Verne-The Courier of the Czar
  • Watching: The birds outside my window
  • Eating: Dandelion-Bread
So I've actually been here on deviantArt for over 1 1/2 years without ever writing a journal! I figured it was about time to do so...come to think of it, I haven't really done much else on dA either...heh
What with college applications, car break-downs and annoying little brothers, I haven't really gotten around to any creative stuff of late but now I've got until September to to anything I want :boogie: so expect much creativeness in the future  I'm just waiting for the weather over here to realise that it's spring so I can get some good photos of all the other things I've made so far. :snowing:
Oh yes and I want to give a really big thank you to all my new watchers :aww: I really appreciate all your support :D

Ah that's too bad-it was really fun...but teaching yourself is fun too--no one there to tell you what to do hehe : ) I really only learned some of the basics at the theater anyway so I'm pretty much self-taught too...
~lagopus:iconlagopus: Apr 25, 2008, 6:19:01 AM
Nah, Norway is generally lame on such things. If you want to learn something you have to pay loads. So I try to teach myself.

It sounds wonderful to be able to learn from people in a theater workshop!

Ah yes..I see how that might be a problem ;) may I suggest doing some practical training at a tailor's or costume maker's workshop? I don't know if you can do that in Norway, but I spent about 4 weeks at a theater in the costume workshop a couple of years ago. I had to work for free, but I got to work on some really cool projects and I learned loads.
~lagopus:iconlagopus: Apr 21, 2008, 3:14:27 PM
Well, it is a problem when things just falls apart... :) Im a bit unpatient in nature, cant seem to bother myself with starting at the beginning and doing the easy first. Even though I know thats a substancial bit of the learning thing.

Ah another Zeppelin fan I see ;) Yeah customizing clothing is fun too--don't worry about your sewing skills, it just takes a little practice and with time it only gets easier...I mean..heh-the stuff I made in the beginning was just plain embarassing
~lagopus:iconlagopus: Apr 19, 2008, 4:24:30 AM
I can imagine that its addictive. I have some projects where I change old clothes. Like a skirt with a zeppelin appliquation. But I dont have sewing skills, so its going rather slow. -youre welcome:)

Hi :XD: hmm...strange? How so? I think I'll just go ahead and take that as a compliment ;) I've been sewing and just generally making stuff for as long as I can remember, but I didn't really seriously start making clothing until about 2 1/2 years ago and I must say it's pretty addictive :D Oh yes and thanks very much for the :+fav: and :+devwatch: :)

Hello, I found your book in a collection of dragons one of my paintings ended up in. I saw it was for your brother and found myself imagining how your life must be, a bit strange you might say. You have a beautiful gallery.
I`m impressed by your clothing, espesially upon seeing we`re born the same year. Have you been sewing for a long time?

Of course! I just saw your front page and knew instantly that I'll quite enjoy going through your gallery once I get the time(which unfortunately means getting a computer which might be a while...bleh).
